The Wilcox County Board of Equalization is made up of property owners appointed by the Grand Jury of Wilcox County. The appointees must be qualified and competent to serve as grand jurors and be a high school graduate. Each member must satisfy completing (40) hours of special training before he/she can participate as a member of the BOE. Also, additional training is required each year with total of (8) hours in updated training. The board is charge by law to hear appeals of property tax matters.
